Senior Writer
Gail brings versatile technical writing skills with an attention to big-picture structure and sentence-level detail. Focusing on both audience and purpose, she is able to hone a document to meet a customer's needs.
Gail has worked as a journalist, a writer/editor, and a writing instructor. She began her career writing for newspapers in the Pacific Northwest, and freelanced for Microsoft and Boeing.
After moving to Austin in 1989, she worked as a writer/editor for several high-tech companies, including National Instruments, where she managed domestic and international customer newsletters. She spent two years in the National Instruments Switzerland branch office as a writer/editor specializing in case studies.
Today Gail juggles a busy schedule between writing projects for technology companies, including customer case studies, website content, and other marketing copywriting/editing, and serving as a professor at Austin Community College.
Gail studied undergraduate English and journalism at Washington State University, received her master's degree in English at Texas State University and completed her PhD in English from Texas Tech University. |
